DedicatedNOW has always had a reseller program in place, effective August 1st 2009 however we are adapting a new reseller program. The old reseller program is in effect for any past resellers and all discount levels and special pricing arrangements are and will always be honored. We are however at this time revising the program in such a dramatic way to include MORE services and MORE discounts and MORE everything that we simply had to create an entire new division for this product launch and line!
Q — I am already a DedicatedNOW Reseller, what is the difference with the new DedicatedNOW reseller program?
A — A lot has changed with the old and new programs, we have put together some very deep discounts on our Supermicro line of servers, altered the hardware, increased the bandwidth and RAM, upgraded to standard 100Mbps switch ports, lowered the bandwidth overage rates, and further discounted the additional services. We've also changed the payment and cancellation terms.
Q — If I am already a DedicatedNOW Reseller, why do I need a new account?
A — Due to the magnitude of program changes, we simply can only keep the new reseller program under a new account. Previous deals, payment terms and any other agreements previously made are still valid for the older account. The new reseller program has been redesigned with many significant changes that would simply be too difficult to track under the older accounts.
Q — Can I move my current DedicatedNOW Resold servers under the new account?
A — Unfortunately, no at this time it is not possible to move the servers under the single account. If this option becomes available in the future, we will alert all clients and provide the migration of services under the new account.
Q — How do I become a DedicatedNOW Reseller?
A — To become a DedciatedNOW reseller, simply fill out the application at: http://www.dedicatednow.com/?resellers-overview= and a manager will review your application within 2 business days and alert you to the approval or denial of the program.
Q — Do I need a valid website to become a DedicatedNOW Reseller?
A — Yes, a valid website and matching email address is required for consideration to the DedicatedNOW reseller program. We do not accept any free email addresses for reseller applications as we review the website submitted for validation of our reseller program.
Q — What exactly is a DedicatedNOW Reseller?
A — There is a lot of confusion and sometimes misinterpretation of the true definition of what a DedicatedNOW reseller is. A DedicatedNOW reseller is a customer that will resell our Dedicated Servers. A DedicatedNOW Reseller is NOT a customer who will simply purchase a server and resell shared accounts, VPS's, or reseller accounts from that server. This would fit our standard category of retail services and does not apply to our reseller plans Your website will be reviewed prior to acceptance into he DedicatedNOW reseller program and approval by management is required before you are able to begin purchasing
Q — What discounts can I expect through the DedicatedNOW Reseller program?
A — The servers available for the DedicatedNOW Reseller program are special servers not available to the general public. They are heavily discounted on the site. Additionally Additional services are discounted for resellers including all hardware, backups, RAID, firewalls, IP's, switch port speeds. Software, including but not limited to licenses and control panels are not discounted any further.
Q — Will you solicit my clients directly?
A — No, DedicatedNOW will NOT allow any end-user clients to directly transfer their services to us without your permission. Simply put, we value the relationships of our resellers above the end-user client and will not allow an end-user to approach us to directly take on those services away from you.
The billing and invoices for resellers vary slightly from those offered to general DedicatedNOW clients, mainly from the invoicing periods. In addition to the policies located at: http://www.dedicatednow.com/?about-faq= the following policies will apply:
Q — When are my invoices due?
A — Invoices will be due 10 days from receipt of the creation of the invoice. For the initial launch, those will be created on the renewal date of your service and due within 10 days. We will however be modifying those terms to creating the invoices 7 days in advance and due by 3 days post renewal.
Q — What are your cancellation terms on resold servers?
A — DedicatedNOW Resellers must submit a cancellation request 3 full days in advance of your server's renewal date this means is if your server rebills on the 10th, you MUST submit a cancellation by the 6th to cancel this server, the 7th through the 9th are considered the 3 day period, so if counting backwards, subtract 4 from your billing date to give you the proper date to cancel. Cancellations MUST be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org and a receipt of ticket is required. Timestamps will be the ultimate determination of the cancellation receipt.
Q — Are there any reconnection fees for suspended servers that have been disconnected for non-payment?
A — Any server that has been suspended for non-payment are subject to our standard reconnection fees.
Q — When are orders received?
A — Orders are received via our sales and billing department 8AM - 6PM EST Monday through Friday. Weekend orders are received Monday morning at 8AM, and are considered received then. Weekend hours do not qualify for our 24 hour setup guarantee.
Q — How fast are servers setup?
A — Servers are setup as quickly as possible, most within the same day (Mon - Fri) but all within the business day following the day you placed your order. Should any special orders or requests be made, the setup time can vary from 24-72 hours. Your sales representative can advise on specific delivery ETAs.
Q — When do you charge for servers?
A — We will charge your credit card, or await your PayPal payment prior to initiating your requested service. All services must be paid in advance for its respective setup, any proration and first month fees.
Q — When do you charge for additional services?
A — We will charge your CC, or await your paypal payment prior to initiating your requested service. All services must be paid in advance for its respective setup, any proration and first month fees.
Q — How am I billed, monthly?
A — You are invoiced upon each of the recurring billing dates attached within your billing file. You can receive multiple invoices monthly, or request our billing staff to adjust your invoices to one monthly billing date. Your CC, or paypal account is automatically billed by our system on your invoice due date.
Q — What methods of payment do you accept? A — We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Paypal. To make payment via Check or Wire transfer, you must remit payment for all applicable setup fees, and 3 months hosting fees, and payments must be made in advance.
Q — May I cancel existing servers to take advantage of new reseller pricing?
A — Our new reseller pricing is available only on new servers ordered on or after 7/7/09. Existing servers may not be cancelled and replaced with the new reseller line of servers.
Q — How is extra bandwidth billed?
A — Bandwidth is tracked from the moment your server goes online and is calculated by taking standard readings at the switch port in 5 minute intervals and adding the total usage up based upon the billing method, which is actual usage. MRTG reports are available immediately upon server provisioning under your account. It is your responsibility to review your usage reports periodically.
Q — Will you contact me if I am going to exceed my bandwidth allotment?
A — No, we will not contact you proactively to inform you of potential bandwidth overages. We recommend you review your account at a minimum of every 10 days to view your clients / servers bandwidth usage.
Q — Can I purchase additional bandwidth?
A — Yes, you can contact our sales department or your sales representative directly to add additional bandwidth blocks onto your account anytime through the month.
Q — How are additional bandwidth blocks billed?
A — Additional bandwidth blocks are billed in full on the date they are added to your account, they are not prorated because bandwidth is utilized fully throughout a month and only charged for once a month. Initially you will be invoiced on the date it is added for the full block price and the next invoice you receive will also charge you in full for the bandwidth block to cover the next month. This is done because the usage period was already billed on your last invoice but did not include the block purchased which is calculated at the end of the months usage period.

Q — Are these servers managed?
A — No, the reseller program is discounted to such levels that we cannot provide Server Management on them. As a reseller, you are expected to provide general support to your clients, we will mainly assist with support of the OS, Control Panel and hardware.
Q — How much is your support administration fees?
A — Reseller admin fees are billed at a rate of $40 an hour, billable in 15 minute increments. All work to be performed must be approved prior to starting the support.
Q — Do you offer phone support for resellers?
A — No, we do not offer phone support for resellers except for emergency server down or unresponsive issues. All other support must be performed through a support ticket.
Q — How many Hard Drives come with each server?
A — Depending on the package chosen, either 1 or 4 Hard Drives will come standard with each server. Additional hard drives or upgrades are available through the order process during the initial configuration.
Q — Do you provide backups for Resellers?
A — We do not provide standard backups for resellers, this can be setup for you should you purchase either an additional hard drive on a single hard drive server, or utilize a hard drive on a 4 drive server. Additionally, backups are available through our R1soft backup service, also available either during order placement, or by contacting email@example.com
Q — Do you provide R1soft backups on the DedicatedNOW Reseller servers?
A — We are not including R1soft backups with any dedicated servers, these are available as add-on options during the order process, or in the future, however we have significantly reduced their normal monthly fees as add-ons.
Q — Do you provide direct end-user support for my clients?
A — No, as a reseller you are expected to provide direct support to and for your clients. DedicatedNOW will not have direct interaction with your clients directly for any support related needs.
